Some couples carry their wedding across the world to find the feeling they're after. For Denise and Sanjiv, that feeling lived in Lisbon, in old-world light and quiet grandeur and an exquisite, history-soaked venue that made the days unfold like chapters from a storybook.

It began with a bridal shower that could have been torn from a magazine, Denise every bit the muse. What followed was tender and unhurried, a love marriage bringing two families together, far from home and completely at ease. As the sun fell over the city, they exchanged vows in a golden hour you could never have planned for.

There is something we love about photographing an Indian wedding in Europe, the way a place this beautiful asks nothing of you but to be present in it. We simply stayed close and kept the real moments, the way we always do.
